The fiddle leaf fig tree (Ficus lyrata) is the houseplant that looks like a tree: large, glossy, violin-shaped leaves on an upright trunk that fills a bright corner and keeps growing toward the ceiling. Native to the rainforests of West Africa, it wants one steady spot with bright, indirect light, water only when the top 2 inches of soil are dry, and no drafts. Give it that and it is the most-photographed plant in the house.

This plant is known to have a blemish here or there. They are part of the plant's lifecycle and we love them anyway!

Care Instructions

📦 When you receive your order,

  1. Remove the flowers or greens from the box,
  2. Cut the stems by 1 cm,
  3. Remove any leaves below the water line, and
  4. Place them in a vase with fresh water; this way, the stems can rehydrate and maintain freshness.

📦 Every week, cut the ends and change the water; this way you can keep them for more than two weeks.
